In October of 1944, Bill Norberg and Ray Neisewander co-founded Raynor Manufacturing in Quincy, Illinois. Norberg brought his steel fabrication specialty together with Neisewander’s woodworking skills in their small factory, and by the end of the 40s had over 150 employees after moving to a larger space in Dixon, Illinois. By the end of the 50s, Raynor dealers were in 35 states, and by the end of the 70s, they were in 48 states. Their commitment to innovation, quality, and close relationships with dealers drove them to become one of the most successful manufacturers on the market. Today, Raynor offers a variety of purpose-built industrial and residential doors that can be found in homes and facilities around the country.
